Step-by-Step Admission Timeline & Checklist


Step 1: Submit Inquiry (August)


Starting in late August, families can submit an online inquiry to receive updates and register for camps tours or open houses for middle or upper school.


Step 2: Apply Online (Available Sept 10)


Applications open on September 10, 2025 for the 2026–27 enrollment cycle

 Through the parent portal, families must submit:

  • Applicant checklist items (birth certificate, photo)

  • School transcripts, attendance and behavior reports

  • Interview scheduling

  • Recommendation requests

  • Parent and student statements


Step 3: Standardized Tests & Character Skills Snapshot


All applicants must take the SSAT or ISEE and the Character Skills Snapshot, a 25-minute online assessment that evaluates traits like initiative, teamwork, and social awareness  Use Ransom Everglades code 6004 for SSAT score reporting


Step 4: Teacher & Administrator Recommendations


Submit three letters:

  • Current English teacher

  • Current mathematics teacher

  • Principal, counselor, or school administrator


Step 5: Interview & Writing Samples


Applicants complete:

  • A virtual admissions interview scheduled via parent portal between September and early winter.

  • Student and parent statements: Middle school parents answer three 250‑word prompts; upper school applicants choose a 200‑word essay topic


Step 6: Final Deadline (Feb 4)


All materials must be uploaded by February 4 to complete the application. This includes recommendations, test results, checklist items, statements, and interview confirmation.


Step 7: Decision Day & Financial Aid (March 1)


Admission decisions and financial aid awards are emailed on March 1. Award consideration requires submission of tax documents and aid forms by January 15.
