Why Choose Scheck Hillel for Your Child’s Education
Scheck Hillel Community School, located in North Miami Beach, is the largest Jewish co-ed PK–12 day school in South Florida, serving around 1,350 students. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, it delivers a dual-curriculum integrating rigorous academics, Judaic studies, advanced STEM and Design programs, arts, athletics, Capstone research, and dual enrollment opportunities — with 100% college placement.
Admissions Process & Timeline
Step 1: Inquiry & Campus Tour (September–December)
Submit an online inquiry to receive a tour invitation. Tours are optional but highly recommended to experience campus life firsthand.
Step 2: Submit Application / Wait‑Pool Form (Opens Early September)
Apply online via the eHillel portal with a $250 fee. If a grade is at capacity, submit a free wait-pool form to be considered if space opens. Early-admission offers go to applicants completing their application by January 14; after that, admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, space permitting.
Step 3: Submit Required Documents via Portal
Once invited to Phase 2, upload the following:
Birth certificate or passport
Report cards from previous two school years plus current scores
Parent questionnaire; Grades 6–10 also require a Student Questionnaire and “Passion in Progress” project
Completed MAP test (Grades 6–10) administered on campus
Immunization and health forms (Florida DH 680 & DH 3040)
Step 4: Interviews & Family Evaluation
Applicants may be invited for a grade-appropriate academic evaluation and family meeting with administrators or religious leaders, including Rabbinic staff. Most assessments occur in person on the campus.
Step 5: Decisions & Enrollment
First-round decisions are sent mid-February for applicants completing by January 14. Accepted families have one week to commit via the Continuous Enrollment contract and deposit. Placement tests for grades 6–10 occur in the spring post-enrollment.
