Virtual college visits are a great way to experience a college/university a student is interested in attending without spending money on travel expenses or during this pandemic where travel is prohibited. The simplest way to schedule these tours is through the college/ university websites. These tours are usually accompanied by an admissions officer that will happily answer any questions you might have, from questions about living in on-campus dorms to what classes an incoming freshman might look forward to taking. The simplest way to access these tours is by searching on the university website for “virtual tours” here you’ll find what the university has to offer. Most include videos to watch beforehand and then a place to sign up for guided virtual tours. University of Florida (UF) offers virtual tours Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through the month of June, available at 10:00 am and 3:30 pm eastern time. Be sure to register at least two weeks ahead to ensure a spot on the tour. Many top schools offer similar tours so be sure to schedule accordingly.
